Indian is a great destination for any wildlife enthusiast with numerous national parks and bird Sanctuaries which are well preserved. A balance between the nature and wildlife  Some of the famous National parks in India are Jim Corbett National Park (Uttaranchal), Bandhavgarh National Park and Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh, Gir National Park in Sasangir (Gujarat), Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur. The Jim Corbett was the first National Park of the country which was established in the foothills of Himalayas.     
 
India is home to several well-known large mammals, like Asian Elephant, Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Asiatic Lion, Rhinocerous, Nilgiri, Asian water Buffalo.  Indian wildlife also constitutes of several species of deer and antelope which attract your attention immediately with their innocent looks. Also found are Golden Jackal, Wild Dogs, Indian Wolf, Bengal Fox etc.  Some of the larger mammals have their mention in Indian mythology and are associated with Indian Dieties.
 
India’s first national park was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, now known as Jim Corbett national park. Till 1970 India had only 05 national park but the need to conserve the wildlife in 1972 led to Project Tiger which was mainly aimed in conserving Tiger and its habitat. Some of the important national parks in India are Jim Corbett in Uttar Pradesh, Ranthambore in Rajasthan, Kanha and Bandavgarh in Madhya Pradesh, Kaziranga in Assam, Gir in Gujrat, Nagarhole and Kabini in Karnataka. Day - 01 Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi by International flight. A history which encompasses all the various kings and emperors who fixed their royal citadels here-- Indraprastha, Lal Kot, Quila Rai Pithora, Siri, Jahanpanah, Tughlakabad, Ferozabad, Dinpanah, Delhi Sher Shahi or then Shahjahanabad. but, combined and integrated into one, these 'new cities' have always been called Delhi and howsoever many names it may have acquired, Delhi has always been intrinsically identified with power and imperial sway. You will be met on your arrival by the representative of Bharatiyam Tours with fresh flower garlands. You will then be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day - 02 In Delhi
This morning you will be given the city tour of Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi. Visit the former centre of Moghul Power, Old Delhi offers ancient monuments, narrow streets and bustling bazaars. Drive past the vast Red Fort, built in 1648, the Jama Masjid, the greatest mosque in India and completed in 1658 by Shah Jahan who also built the Taj Mahal, and the Raj Ghat, the simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. A unique experience of taking 'rickshaw ride' from the Red Fort, through "Chandni Chowk" or Silver Street, experiencing the sights and sounds of this very busy avenue heading west from the Fort.
 
Chandni Chowk - literally means "moonlit crossroads" and an area which best represents the "super-Oriental" - the glory and the guile; the grandeur and the grime, with its crowded bazaars, twisting lanes, maze of small streets strange aromas, the pungent odour of Oriental spices, the cries of shopkeepers, coolies and "rickshaw-walas" and the clatter and whirr of furious industry. New Delhi - drive past the stately government buildings of the British Era designed by Lutyens, including the India Gate & the Presidential Palace. Continue onto the beautiful Humayuns tomb of the Mughal era & predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal. End the tour at the towering minaret of Qutab Minar Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 03 : Delhi - Bangalore(Air) - Mysore
Transfer to the airport in time to connect flight for bangalore. Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka. It is called the Garden City for it's delicate blossoms and greenery that impart a unique beauty to this lovely city. The weather is the city's best feature, with pleasant summers and bearable winters. Bangalore is a cosmopolitan city, where different cultures and customs exist. Kempe Gowda founded the city in 1537 - today it is a bustling and diverse city, with ancient arts that flourish alongside the Silicon Plateau of India. In Bangalore you will be met on arrival and transferred to Mysore.( 4 hours drive).
Mysore is a city of palaces, gardens, shady avenues and sacred temples and retains some of the charm of the old world with its many institutions that propagate Carnatic Classical music and dance. Mysore was the political capital of the Wodeyar dynasty which ruled the state of Karnataka for some 150 years till the independence of the country from the British. These kings were great patrons of art and culture and Mysore was the cultural capital of the south under the rule of the Wodeyars. The Wodeyars made the Dasara festival an event. A short sightseeing tour of Mysore visiting Brindavan Gardens and Mysore Palace etc. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 04 : Mysore - Nagarhole National Park
Leave Mysore for Nagarhole National Park by road (3 hours drive) Nagarhole National Park is an all weather park. The park contains the habitat of several rare and endangered species, notably the tiger. Much of it has been protected from the ill effects of development because Indian royalty used the area as a hunting park. Nagarhole is part of the protected area complex that includes Bandipur National Park, Wynad Sanctuary and Mudumalai Sanctuary. The name Nagarhole is derived from the Kannada word `Naga' meaning `snake' and `Hole' meaning `streams'. A number of streams snake through the rich tropical forests of Nagarhole. The Park has a beautiful landscape of gentle slopes and shallow valleys. The largest river draining the area in the south is the Kabini, which was dammed in 1974.
 
Day 05 : Nagarhole National Park
Early morning wildlife viewing and bird watching in the park or a Coracle ride on the Kabini River. Enjoy an evening jeep ride or an Elephant ride into the Nagarhole jungle. Overnight at the hotel/lodge.
 
Day 06 : Nagarhole National Park - BR Hills
Morning drive to B R Hills (6 hours drive). The Sanctuary is a wonderful intermix of resort and wildlife sanctuary. The hill sanctuary spread on an area of 540 kms with green valley to its credit is a must stop for the travellers. The sanctuary is a good link between the western and the eastern ghats. The River Cauvery takes its course through the middle of the hills reflecting the geographical significance of the hilly place. The hills had their name from the Ranganatha Swami temple that rests on the edge of a granite block more that 1000 ft above. Arrive BR Hills and check in at Tented Accommodation. Afternoon trekking in B R Hills for wildlife viewing. Overnight stay in tents.
 
Day 07 : BR Hills
Morning and evening wildlife viewing and bird watching. Overnight stay in tents.
 
Day 08 : BR Hills - Bandipur National Park
Early morning leave for Bandhipur (4hours drive.) Bandipur - The Wildlife sanctuary located in the Chamarajanagar district exemplifies ample advancements towards India's strive for natural conservation. It was earlier the hunting ground of the Maharaja of Voodiyar and later created in to a park in 1930. The sanctuary was initially given the name of Venugopal wildlife sanctuary. The park was expanded in 1941 to merge with the Nagarhole wildlife Sanctuary lying to its northern edge and the Madumalai sanctuary lying to its southern edge. In the present context, the entire area constitute the vast Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve which comprises the tracts of protected forest. Designated a Tiger reserve in the year 1973 to protect the dwindling Tiger population, the Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary lie in the Deccan plateau totally shadowed by the western ghats. Arrive Bandipur and check in at the hotel. Later visit the wildlife sanctuary by jeeps. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 : Bandipur National Park - Ooty
Early morning drive to Ooty (3 hours drive) Ooty or Udagamandalam (the Tamil version of the original name) rightly described as "Queen of Hill Stations" by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, now sprawls over an area of 36 sq km with a number of tall buildings cluttering its hill slopes. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level. Ooty still woos people from all over India as well as foreign countries right through summer, and sometimes in the winter months too. An added attraction for the tourists to Udagamandalam is the mountain train journey on a ratchet and pinion track which commences from Kallar, near Mettupalayam and wends its way through many hair-raising curves and fearful tunnels and chugs along beside deep ravines full of verdant vegetation, gurgling streams and tea gardens. Arrive Ooty and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 11 : Ooty - Munnar
Leave Ooty for Munnar by road. Munnar - Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams called Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala, the small town of Munnar is characterized by the clean, neat and brightly painted ambience inside the city. Beautiful landscape, cozy weather and wonderfully scented tealeaves are some of the other aspects that make this place a much sought after destination in Kerala. Moreover, it used to be one of the favorite summer resorts of the British during their reign in the country Arrive Munnar and check in at the hotel. Day 12 : Munnar - Thekkady
Morning drive to Thekkady (3 hours drive). Thekkady - This area is of historical importance for more than one reason. It has been and still is an important spice plantation area. Periyar Wildlife Sanctury, situated in Thekkady is one of the finest known natural wildlife sanctuaries and it has a history dating back to the year 1934, when the then state government took initiative to establish the Nellikampathy Sanctuary. This wildlife sanctuary was later developed into the 780 square kilometer Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary by the year 1950.
 
Day 13 : Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
Enjoy a morning and evening boat cruise and witness the wild elephants frolicking in the lake or go bird watching. Overnight stay in the resort. 
 
Day 14 : Thekkady - Kumarakom
Morning drive to Kumarakom (5 hours drive). Kumarakom - When nature is all you need to recuperate, Kumarakom is undoubtedly the most invigorating, fascinating paradise in Kerala, God's own country. Day 16 : Kumarakoram - Cochin (Kochi)
Morning leave Kumarakom for Kochi by road ( 3 hours drive). Cochin's history is a bright tapestry - many coloured threads woven through centuries together present the fabric of the present. Its involvement with the Portuguese, the Dutch and the British are evident in the architecture of city buildings, the old durbar hall is the spice in the dish! Modern day Kochi may be a busy port and shipping centre but it has many attractions for ordinary tourists. Arrive Kochi and check in at the hotel. This afternoon you will be given the city tour of Cochin. Overnight at the hotel.
 
Day 17 : Depart Cochin

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi

Day 02 : In Delhi
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning sightseeing of Old Delhi takes you to the magnificent Red Fort, - a marvel in red sandstone, built on the banks of River Yamuna by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Visit Raj Ghat (memorial to Mahatma Gandhi), Jama Masjid, - The largest mosque in India. Drive past Chandi Chowk, once an imperial avenue of Mughal Royalty which today is the busiest commercial area of the city. Walk through Chandni Chowk to savor the ambience of an oriental bazaar
 
Afternoon city tour of New Delhi. Visit the 12th century Qutab Minar, gracefully hand-carved for its entire height of 234ft, and the iron pillar, which has withstood the ravages of time and not rusted even after 1500 years. Visit the mausoleum of emperor Humayun – a forerunner of the Mughal style of architecture and the imposing modern Lakshminarayan temple. Drive past the India Gate (war memorial dedicated to the lives of laid down by  the Indian soldiers), the president's residence - formerly the Viceroy's Palace, parliament House and the Secretariat buildings, - an interesting blend of the Victorian and 20th century architecture. Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 03 : Drive Delhi – Agra (201 Kms / 5  Hrs.)
Breakfast at the hotel.  Later drive to Agra. On arrival check-in at hotel.
 
Afternoon visit The Red Fort. Built principally as a military establishment by Akbar in 1565, the red sandstone Agra fort was partially converted into a palace during Shah Jahan's time. Though the principal structure was built by Akbar, many more additions were made by his grandsons. This massive fort is 2.5 kms long and is considered as the predecessor of the Delhi Red fort. There is only one entry point in the fort. The building and structures inside the fort gives an impression of a city within the city. Many of the building inside the fort is now closed for the public.
 
Next visit the Taj Mahal - The Taj Mahal is synonymous with beauty, love and grandeur. This white marble mausoleum, built on the banks of river Yamuna, epitomizes Shah Jahan’s love for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Designed by a local architect, Ustad Ahmad Lahori, the entire complex, with gardens, gateway structures, and mosque, was completed in 1643. More than three centuries later, the monument retains its romantic aura. There is much to see – the exquisite calligraphy, the lyrical floral motifs of the pietra dura decorations which form a mosaic of colour; and the fountains and canals of the gardens which reflect the monument in a series of ethereal images (Taj Mahal Closed On Fridays). Day 04 : Drive Agra - Bharatpur (Train Bharatpur-Ranthambore ) - (57 Kms / 2 Hrs) - Jan Shatabdi (1545-1805 hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel. Later drive for Bharatpur enroute visiting Fatehpur sikri - Located 40 Km from Agra, the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, in honour of the great Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti who blessed Akbar and prophesized the birth of three sons to the heirless Emperor. Akbar used Fatehpur Sikri as his capital and the city was fully occupied for 14 years but slowly became deserted and ruined after Akbar left the city. Scarcity of water was the prime factor for the abandonment of this beautiful city. Visit the remarkably well-preserved, graceful buildings within the 'Ghost City' including the Jama Masjid, tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal Palace and other palaces that speak of the grandeur and splendour of the Mughal empire at the height of its power.
 
On arrival in Bharatpur board Jan Shatabdi Express for Sawaimadhopur. On arrival at Sawaimadhopur transfer to Ranthambore(13 Kms drive) and check-in at hotel. Dinner and Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 05 : In Ranthambore
Morning and afternoon visit the Park by jeep/canter.
 
The tourists, accompanied by a trained guide are allowed into the park at fixed times during the morning and evening. The jeeps/canters have to follow a fixed route and leave the park by the end of the appointed time. At a given time not more 2 jeeps/canters can travel on a particular route and more then 16 vehicles are not allowed into the park. The open grasslands, forested areas and ruins of monuments within Ranthambore National park provide many opportunities for wildlife viewing while on a jeep safari of National Park Ranthambore. Tigers can be seen hunting deer, their primary prey, on the open grassy regions. A glimpse of a magnificent Royal Bengal Tiger is a sight that cannot be forgotten Dinner and Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 06 : Drive Ranthambore - Jaipur (167 Kms/4 Hrs)
Morning visit the Park.  Afternoon drive to Jaipur. On arrival check-in at hotel Overnight at hotel.
 
Day 07 : In Jaipur
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit Amber Fort. Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani Fort Palace. The rugged, time-ravaged walls of the Fort may not look beautiful from the outside, but the interior is a virtual paradise. Miniatures painted on the walls depict hunting and war scenes, apart from festivals. Precious stones and mirrors are embedded into the plaster. Inside the Fort visit the Jag Mandir or the Hall of Victory. Inside the Jag Mandir is the famed Sheesh Mahal - a room with all the four walls and ceiling completely embedded with glittering mirror pieces, which were specially imported from Belgium during that period. Enroute to Amber Fort, you will have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds.
 
Afternoon city tour with a visit to the Maharaja's City Palace, the former Royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. A small portion is still used by the Royal family of Jaipur. Built in the style of a fortified campus, the palace covers almost one-seventh in area of the city. One of the major attractions in the museum is the portion known as Armoury Museum housing an impressive array of weaponry-pistols, blunderbusses, flintlocks, swords, rifles and daggers. The royal families of Jaipur once used most of these weapons. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world.
 
Day 07 : Fly Jaipur - Mumbai
